Bee Square at Oh Sweet Sadie Art and Gift Show

Call me crazy, insane, delusional or overly optimistic,
but 3 days after the charity Autumn Gala that I'm in charge of,
I will be selling my Bee Square line at the Oh Sweet Sadie show.

I am indeed a Busy Bumble Bee
as I split my time between keeping family alive and happy,
planning a charity event I care deeply about (Click here if you want to come or just support the cause with a few bucks ),
and preparing all kinds of Bee Square photo blocks, magnets, note cards and more.

Hope to see you there!

BEE SQUARE now carried in select gift shops

Yes, it's true! I just got accepted into the small, exclusive, gift shops at:

The Museum of Church History and Art
(just to the west of Temple Square, next to the Family History Library)

The Lion House Pantry
(Brigham Young's old home just east of Temple Square, next to the Beehive House)

The Nauvoo Café
(in the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg)

Over the phone, they all warned me that they "rarely" accept products, but I went with hope in my heart that they would find something different enough about my work that they would want it. They all LOVED it! Hurray!

Now go buy something and tell your friends too :)

Back from Brasil and trying not to drown

So, right after our very unexpected move, we went on our long-awaited trip to Brasil. I'll post photos if anyone is dying to see what it was like. It only lasted two months and now we're finally back home.

I never really had time to move in properly so now I am finally hanging up art and trying to organize bedrooms, office, closets, pantries, etc.

I'm also getting back to my non-profit project. As chair of my community's Giving Back Committee, I'm trying to educate and motivate Daybreak residents to join forces in raising funds to build a school in DebreZeit, Ethiopia. A lot of work, but it's one of those bucket list things...to be anxiously involved in a good cause. I really believe that we are way too privileged here in America and that we have certain stewardship responsibilites to help take care of those born in the poorest of poor locations.

And, of course, photography! I've got literally hundreds of photos sitting on my hard drive awaiting editing time and posting time. So many to choose from! In the next month, I hope to have several shots from Manti, St George, Redlands, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Las Vegas and Mount Timpanogas. Maybe I'll even make a trip to Logan...

I'll try to be better at updating now that life it almost back to normal!

Life is almost back to normal

Well, we are half way moved in to our new home after being "homeless" for a little over three weeks. Somehow, I managed to put enough pieces together to participate in the Daybreak Art Walk, which was fantastic. There was a steady flow of people and all the proceeds went to the Daybreak to Debre Zeit Fund to build a school in Daybreak's sister community in Ethiopia.

Once I unpack all our boxes and get settled, I plan on moving forward with my new photographic venture. Feel free to give suggestions for future temple projects and products. Expect to see changes and additions to the website as my personal life calms down and I have more time to devote to the business.

Life is on hold

So, we are very unexpectedly going to move as the owner of our house needs it back. Joy, joy. What that means is that I've had to put this whole business on hold as we've been packing and trying to figure out where we are going to live. No worries though. I'll get back to designing the website, blog, and logos soon enough. If you want to order, please leave a comment or email me. Otherwise, check back in a month to see what I've come up with.
